Hi,
I wondered if anyone could help, I have been studying level 4 self assessment and I took my mock exam which was 24 hours and got 92% and time taken of 5 hours so I decided I should do the real exam this weekend. When I went to book it though it says it is a 3 hour exam. I thought the mock exams were supposed to be the same timescale as the real exam. Has anybody recently taken this exam and can confirm that it is a 3 hour exam? Now I am unsure whether to put in for the exam as i'm not sure if the mock was a good indication that i am ready or not. Any advice would be much apprecieated.

Hi Tracy,
I took the exam earlier this year and it was 24 hours so I would have thought this would still be the case especially with your moc being 24 hours. Top stuff with your 92% on your moc, sounds like you will be fine for your actual exam but good luck anyway!

Hi Tracy,
Well done on the mock result!
I took the paper this week and it was a 24 hour time frame given.
Unfortunately, I got 84% which means I have to resit

Thank you both for your replies. Hopefully it's just a mistake in the small writing. I'm going to do it today.
Vicky - how annoying that it's only 1% out. Good luck for the next time you take it. I'm sure next time you will pass.

I'm planning to do my Self Assessment tax return exam next week and I'm curious to know if it's a 3 or 24 hours exam. Hope your exam went well :)

It was a 24 hour exam so it must just be a mistake in the small print when you first go to book it.
I thought I would get the result straight away like in the mock but it says result is expected 11th Dec.

Hey all
Sorry to jump on your post!!
Can I please ask is it purely an exam or is it a bit like Payroll where you have to do a Somputerised aspect of exam?
Planning on doing over xmas but if I need access to Software, I'd like to ensure that I have everything in place first!

I passed my exam! I did it last Saturday and got the result only today! Super happy, 😁

Hi Sharon,
Once you buy the mock you only have 24 hours to take it. It does not save after that.
