I have used Sage over many years but have not been running any payrolls for the past year or so and my software is now out of date. The cost of renewing Sage is prohibitive for my purposes and I'm trying to find something else.Anyone got any recommendations ?Thanks
Try Payroll Manager from Moneysoft. It is very easy to use and get started.Costs are great too! £100 +VAT per year for up to 50 employees (unlimited companies). Does online filing, but does not receive messages from HMRC (like P9's). I get these via the HMRC online service.www.moneysoft.co.ukEdited at 17 Jan 2011 09:01 AM GMTEdited at 17 Jan 2011 09:01 AM GMT
Another option is 12pay. Unlimited Bureau is £99.80 and the CIS bolt on, if you need it, is £28.00 (both ex vat).It also does internet filing and receives notifications from HMRC.www.12pay.co.uk
Thanks Liz and Tony, I'll look at both of those.Far more realistic prices than Sage
I use Quickbooks payroll and if you have the latest version of QB 2010 it does everything you need including online submissions etc
Thanks Stuart I'll look at that one as well.
wat is the best way to receive employee time sheets from clients, when running a payroll bureau. any idea?Edited at 05 Feb 2011 03:13 AM GMT
Hi AghedoI always insisited they sent me a gross pay control sheet either on excel or manually. This way I could always agree my payroll gross totals to theirs ensuring their were no discrepanices. As to the format of the control sheet I varied the columns according to clients needs.if you want an example drop me an e-mail to stuart.wildman@wellersaccountants.co.ukCheers
