Sage - Tools - Options

I've just started a new company in my multi-company version of Sage 50 Accounts Professional 2008 (v14.0).  I don't like the default screen display 'dashboard or map' whatever they call it and have tried to change it to the customer/supplier list and to stop the welcome screen.  Lo and behold, there is no OK button on the Options screen of the Tools module Surprised, so of course, as soon as its closed the changes revert.
Has anyone else had this and if so how have you solved it?  I no longer have Sage support, its too expensive and I never used it or needed to ...... until now. Yell
Hopeful thanks.

Hi Fay

Try the following steps:

1. click tools
2. then select options
3. then click th view tab
In the view window, within the initial vew field, click the finder button and change the welcome page to either customers or suppliers or company depending on your preference.
Then turn off all dashboards, process maps and welcome page within global settings field in the same view window.
4. Then Click Ok

The above steps should solve the problem.

Thanks folks.  Mo, that is my problem and that is what I've done before BUT, there is no longer an OK button on those screens. Surprised  I can make all the changes but am unable to save/effect them because of the lack of OK or Save.

The only thing that's changed since I last used this facility is that we've had to get a new computer and were only given the option of Windows7.  Now quite a lot of software is behaving differently or just not working at all but this does seem weird to say the least.

Hi Fay

I'm running version 17 Sage on Windows 7, and not having the problem.

Sorry it doesn't help resolve your issue, but just wanted to confirm that it's probably not Windows 7 that's causing the problem!

Good luck getting it sorted, those dashboards are horrible!

Thanks Lizzie, that's useful to know.  Its strange because I know I've changed it before, but a long time ago, may even have been prior to V14.  Yell  Silly things those dashboards, I can't imagine why anyone would want to use those screens.
