Is this possible?

Hi All, i am fairly new on here but there seems to be lots of advice flying around so i hope someone can advise me. I have just recently passed my level 1 (distinction 100% but not too brag lol), and want to go onto level 2, is it possible to do just the computerised before I move on to level 3, ie missing out level 2 manual , i realise then i wouldnt be able to take the level 3 manual. Next question, if you go self employed  do you by law need a practice licence. I have years of experience but just no back up of qualifications  but just dont  feel it necessary to do the manual but would like to do the rest.  Help!!!!

You don't need a practise licence to go self-employed but you do need MLR cover. So you would need to pay HMRC. I think up until September it is still possible to get a practise licence if you have passed the computerised level II.

Interesting - I was under the impression you did need a practice licence, and to get it you need both manual and computerised at lv2 minimum........

You also need indemnity insurance  but that is another subject :)

Hi all

Peasie is correct in the sense that you dont need a practice licence if you are not a part of the ICB.

However as you are now 'under the umbrella' of the ICB you can only work for clients with a Practice Licence.

Your best bet is to give the ICB a call to check on legilbility, Cathy.  And well done on your result Smile
