Exemptions with City & Guilds Qualifications?

I am just curious as too whether there are any exemptions with the ICB with regards to the City & Guilds Bookkeeping qualifications? My wife has been doing them at college, and whilst I personally think they are terrible exams (Only 60% required to pass!!!), it is worth me finding out for her.

Humm... yeah.... wish I had known that before I took the C&G's!  Also - since I have taken C&G lv 1 and 2 I can tell you from direct experience that ICB lv 1 is C&G lv's 1 and 2.....

What ICB lv 2 covers over and above that I will be finding out very soon Tongue out

New bits in lv2 ICB compared with C&G lv2 - disposal of a fixed asset.

Extra information on VAT and registration for VAT and some extras on provisions.

Basically the same with extras Tongue out

I think - with all due respect to ICB the reason for no exemptions is that C&G won't give us our marks so ICB can't see that we have done enough.  Which is fair enough, if you want to be the best you have to be seen to be the best.

Basic pass for ICB is 85% - first class pass for C&G is 75%.

Anyway - hope that helps your other half
