If it is with Sage...
the Sage O/B rountine on each nominal account posts to the suspense account. Whereas tech support and training recommend the journal route. The journal route means it has to be completed before it can be posted, wheras becasue the O/B routine posts to suspense you can leave it and come back to it later. When finished O/B routine should have a zero balance in the suspense account
