Fusion Accounts for Level 2 Computerised

Has anyone actually passed this using the free trial of Fusion? I'm working my way through a mock paper at the moment and the reports leave a lot to be desired. I'm finding it hard to show enough of the detail I need.

Hello,

I was recommended to use Fusion Accounts by ICB Membership Services team back in April when I was enquiring what software to use in order to do the computerised qualifiactions...

ICB quoted
"You can Fusion Accounts who have a special offer for ICB members. 2 months free in order to do the qualification. You can find details here:
http://www.fusionaccounts.com/icb.aspx?AgentId=56 "

I passed both level 2 and 3 using Fusion Accounts, I too was worried about not finding the right reports, so I ended up printing all sort of reports just to be on the safe side.  Unfortunately, I no longer have access to Fusion Accounts as the trial period has expired, but if I can remember correctly you can print reports via the Audit Trial aswell as from the selection of reports you can choose at the bottom the the Nominal section...

Sorry I can't help you much more on this matter.  I do hope though, that I have put you at ease with using Fusion Accounts.

Good luck with your mock and real exams.

Thankyou for your reply Lisa, it's a relief hearing that someone has actually passed using it. Comparing the reports to the ones supplied on the answer sheet there seems to be quite a difference in what information is generated. Would like it to be more detailed in places!

I also seem to be having trouble finding a report to show the supplier account activity, the monthly activity only shows balances and no details of invoices and payments. I've tried other reports but still haven't come accross any with the info I need.

I'll have to try the audit trail you suggested.

Thanks again

Hi

I tried using Fusion for level 2 comp but gave up!  I then went on to use the trial version of Solar Accounts for the exam which I found very user friendly and I liked the fact that I could just delete a transaction if I made a mistake.  I used it for the exam which I passed.

And did you find that it had all the reports that you required? May give it a go.

Hi Gemma, just another thing I think is worth mentioning... I had trouble using Fusion Accounts a couple of times and I ended up contacting Fusion Accounts asking for their help...  support@fusionaccounts.com they were fantastic, they got back to me within couple of hours max, of course during working hours, that is.  Wink  So it may be worth your while to contact them... before giving up totally.

Let me know how you get on.

Lisa

Yes it had all the reports which were needed for the exam and as I mentioned before they were the right ones as I passed the exam.  No harm giving Solar a go I'm sure you will pick it up quick enough.

Posting an update....

I had ordered the actual exam when I'd first started this thread and was spending some time practicing with the mock to get to grips with the software. I completed the mock on fusion but I still wasn't 100% happy with the reports and I didn't like that any amendments I'd made were shown in the detailed reports i.e. reversing a transaction.

Anyway... I decided to start the real exam and made a mistake entering the opening balances (posted one amount to the wrong nominal account). I went to audit trail and reversed the transaction and cleared all the balances. I ran a trial balance just to make sure and all accounts listed had zero balances but the total balancing figure was double the amount of the original sum of the trial balance with the opening balances! aaarrrgghh!!!

Totally lost it with fusion and after reading another topics I tried accounts portal. Exam finished and posted, nervous about the result. I did print off everything I needed but still wished the reports were better. Maybe I'm looking at the mock answers too much and trying to find something similar. Hope it's good enough but only time will tell.

Yes sage is fine, my problem was that I didn't pay for a course so I didn't have access to a program such as sage (although I would have preferred to use sage). I've noticed a few topics on here which mention using sage for their exams. I looked into using it but I would have had to purchase it myself which isn't cheap.
