Adding a Merchant account to Sage

Hello,

I have just set up an online payment system so customers can purchase my products through my website.

I was just wondering if i need to add my Merchant account into Sage as another bank account or just add a new nominal code? Also I have added all of my products onto Sage but was unsure which Nominal code to put them to, again should i create a new nominal code 'Products'?

If funds by your merchant transactions are going to your current business account, then you don't have to create new bank account on sage. I'm assuming you are using code 1200 bank current account on sage. If you're using a different bank account for your merchant transactions, then you can create a new bank account on the 'Bank' screen under 1200. Hope this helps.

Regarding your second query. Nominal code for sales start from 4000 onwards on Sage and you can assign your products to this code.

What part of hampshire are you in.

If you are fairly local I may be able to give you some time in order to sort the sage set up for you. I am happy to do this initially FOC.
