Hi James, thanks for that. I will be doing Level 4 but not 'til next year. I am also about to take a Payroll Course at Pitmans with ICB exams at the end of it - would that make any difference?

Regards

Hello James and Sulew,

I have just seen your post and find this really interesting! I have done my level I and II for manual bookkeeping and am just about to take my level II Computerised Bookkeeping exam. I am also in the middle of my Level 3 AAT qualification and hope to start level 4 at the end of the year (I had to do my AAT as part of my job, so I had to stop doing ICB at level II, which was a shame).

Good luck with your exams and I hope to pass mine too and see if I could also become a Certified Bookkeeper if the ICB recognise AAT qualifications too!

Thanks for this info guys!

Hi James,

This is brilliant! Thank you for your advice on this! :)
I won't feel like I have half done the ICB course now!

Thank you for the luck - I think that I will need it!

Best wishes

Hi

I'm hoping to get my practice license soon and I have done all my bookkeeping qualifications with ICB.  I have an AAT Level 3 in Payroll Administration so will this get me an exemption from doing it again?

Thanks

Tanya

James @ ICBsaid:

“Hi Sulew17

You would need to pass a test on VAT, then you could be exempt from the Level 1 and Level 2 of the ICB and become an Associate.

If you also had AAT Level 4 you could then be exempt from ICB Level 3 and become a Certified Bookkeeper.

I have recently not gained quite enough % to pass the entrance exam by exemption.  However I am MAAT qualified (some years ago) but still maintian CPD and membership subs etc - can I apply for membership via the AAT qualified route? and what does this involve and cost?
