Overseas Accounts/Finance Graduate - Career Start as Book Keeper

Dear ICB Forum Members,
I am interested to get some help from fellow ICB members in joining ICB.

I've graduated with Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Accounting) in 2002 and since then I've looked after my family & kids. I've worked here and there in retail at my spare time during my last 7 years in the UK. I'm now thinking seriously to start my finance/accounting career. Though, I've registered for ACCA Professional qualification, I find that it is still hard to find a flexible career. Hence, I've decided to start from the basics, hence I've landed on this forum.

I'm yet to explore the options AAT, IAB, C&G, ICB and then decide the best institution to achieve required Level III or IV qualifications on a fast track route (location: Rochford, Essex).

If I were to go with ICB, can you share your experience how ICB qualifications can be beneficial and job opportunities.

Thanks,
Priya
