Professional Conduct Regulation

Hello

I'm thinking of joining and becoming qualified as I'd like to supplement my part time employed position with some self-employed work and have been looking at the Professional Conduct Regulations.

Section 29 states "A member shall make and keep in place adequate provisions and arrangements for the continuation of his practice and the protection of his clients in the event of his death, illness or incapacity" I assume this is just a standard continuity aggreement that all the accountancy bodies expect but i just wondered if anyone can advise the best way to find someone to enter into an agreement with. Is it best to contact someone very local? Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi carol-f

It is standard but I don't think there are many who actually put it into practice.

Discussed a bit here:

The regional meetings are good for meeting local bookkeepers.
