It's that dreaded waiting for results again. How long til my daily multiple refresh of the results page bears fruit??
L3 Computerised due by 11th Feb - is there any point in checking much before then??
|

Hi Lou
Know how you feel mine due 16th feb. listed as "being marked" since 23rd jan. How long to mark a paper

My computerised level 2 was due 12th Feb, just checked now & was updated yesterday with results received, being printed but got 98% distinction which I'm pleased about :-)
Good luck with your results!

I am also waiting for L3 computerised. It changed to "being marked" on 16 Jan, and results are due on 9th Feb.
My previous results have always come before the due date, but the wait is always agonising!
This one particularly so, as I am not as confident about this paper as I have been in the past....

Just got my results for L3 Payroll 9 days before due date. Although a little disappointed on mark, I am pleased I passed, having self studied for the first time. But I agree the waiting is agonising!

Well done jo on your result Good luck everyone else

Only checked twice today (it's only 10.20) any I know I probably have 2 weeks to wait - never been the most patient person.
Well done Jo and Linx. Are you on to more studies?? I am due my SA paper this weekend - eek!

Got my result today (so 11 days early). Got a merit (91%) so not as happy as I could be, but it's all that's needed.
Think I can become a full member now though :-)

Hi Lou
Congratulations on your result, that's still a very good mark! How have you found the study for the SA? I am going through my book for a second time and hoping it sinks in.
|
|
Hi Lou
Well done on getting a merit. I found the level 3 quite hard so will be happy with a mark around 90% especially with the written part. Again well done

Hi Linx
Found SA quite interesting and worked my way through the coursebook and assignments quite quickly. Sent my paper in today so hopefully won't be too long before I get the result - fingers crossed. Have you booked your exam yet?

Thanks Steve - I know I should be happy, but was hoping for distinctions throughout - but it's the passing that matters. Good luck with your result - you may get it this week if you're lucky. Lou

Mine is due for marking on 17th so fingers crossed it won't be too long. I'm really worried as I fell into the Wilcox & Co trap so think I've totally fluffed it. I live in hope...
Got my Level III manual on Friday morning and I'm meant to be doing some last minute cramming, but just thought I'd check my results status first. Then I guess I'll make another coffee, then I'll open my books. Gosh, at this rate it's going to be lunch time before I know it...

Just got my level 3 comp result 93% merit , in the above post I said I would be happy with 90% but seeing merit instead of distinction leave me a bit flat. Think I got all the computerised stuff right so dropped marks on written part. (thats what I am telling myself)
Anyway a pass is a pass Good luck everyone still awaiting their results

Well I might be tempted to have one or two glasses of grape juice tonight to celebrate....
Guess I should really fill out the practice licence paperwork before I crack the bottle open!

Excellent news Jojo
Well done. Still studying here but hope to take both exams soon.

Level III computerised main exam being "marked" since 20th Feb results due by 16th March - am agonising over results as really not too confident. Had hoped would have results by now as away next week :( Does one usually have to wait so long?

Hi Jools,
Yes unfortunately one does .
I too am awaiting results (Payroll) with the exact same dates as you! Should be any day soon though - that's what I keep telling myself anyway!
Good luck, hope you pass....

Kerry

And as if by magic it appeared!
|
|
Hi Kerry thanks for reply - hope you do well in your exam! Why do they take so long to mark, know they must be busy but I have nearly chewed off my fingers :)
How did you find Payroll? I am doing the Payroll course shortly. Is it just the one exam that we have to sit and I guess it is at home?
|
|
You have your results Kerry??/ Wow do share!!
|
|
Yes :) Payroll 95 % Distinction, better than I had anticipated, so I can't grumble!
Hope you get your soon, just keep checking!
Regards
Kerry

Hi Jools,
I found payroll the more annoying out of all the other exams, I think purely because it is not something I do on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, but my learning provider helped prepare me :)
EDIT; Yes it is sat at home :)

Congratulations to you :) I think I must check about 4 times a day at mo - just need to know now.
Do you currently practice Bookkeeping? Would be nice if i could "chat" to someone, all well and good doing home study but can get hard at times
Regards
Julia

Hi Jools,
I work full time as an employed bookkeeper, so I have experience, but not yet as self-employed. I have just sent off for my practice licence though.
If you ever need a chat my email is kerryb_6@hotmail.com :)
I will have my fingers crossed for you, I am sure you will get your results very soon.
Kerry

|
That is really kind thank you..... I will email you soon and will DEF let you know when my results are in :)
Well done to you, you must be thrilled!
Have you found it invaluable working for someone else or do you feel you could have "gone it alone" from initial qualifying?
J
|
|
To be honest, I really don't know if I would have been confident going it alone with no experience. I am really nervous to be stepping out in the world of self-employment even with my background. I will keep my FT job though, as I do love it!
Reality is somewhat different to the theory. But obviously the theory gives you a good ground to start on.
I have done accounts/bookkeeping for the past 8 years, and my experience certainly helped with exams etc, but the study has also helped a great deal with being good at my job :)
I also believe that everyone is still learning, even if they have been practicing for some time. Not all clients will be the same, so as long as you have the basis and help at hand, you should be fine.
Kind regards
Kerry
