Looking for volunteer work in bookkeeping!

Hello!

Wanted to ask if anybody knows somebody who needs a bookkeeper-volunteer? In Worcestershire/Warwickshire?

I'm ICB certified (Diploma Level 3 manual and computerised bookkeeping + Level 3 Diploma Payroll Management)

I study towards my ACCA (Association of Charted Certified Accountants) qualification (part-qualified).

I've got some local experience sales/purchase ledger, customers/suppliers payments, bank reconciliation/transactions, general correspondence, and 10 years experience with foreign company.

I'm very keen to gain more related experience and learn more!

Thank you,

Any advise appreciated,

Veronica

Hi Veronic ash,

I looked for that when I forst started bookkeeping and I couldn't find any voluntary work. I even checked with charity shops. You might be better just applying for paid work or maybe your local church would welcome this? But shops don't employ voluntary workers to do thier bookkeeping because the managers do it. Maybe doing a management course might help or go to the Open University for accounting courses,

Kind regards

Hi,

I can't help with specifics, but I've been treasurer of my sons scout group for the last few years and know that groups like that really struggle to find volunteers for the role. Are there any youth or sports clubs in your area that need help? Maybe your local amateur football/rugby club? Might be more successful than the more obvious charities.

Also try your local church committee.  They are usually eager for free bookkeeping.
