Hi, everyone. I'm now studying the OU accounting certificate, B291 and B292. Once I pass both modules, I can also get the exemption from CIMA level 1, CIMA is what I intend to study in the near future. I would like to gain work experience in a bookkeeping or payroll firm after the OU course. I'm based in Edinburgh, can anyone give me some suggestions about finding a placement and work experience opportunity in Scotland? I know there are lots of accountant firms offering pratcical training in London, but don't want to travel to London every 2 weeks for the work experience.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi JSIM,

Its good to know that you have chosen the path you have. I hold the Professional Certificate in Accounting and it a very good qualification.

Regarding your experience I would offer the service FOC. This will encourage someone to set you on. You shouldn't have any problem getting set on in accounts once you've gained your certificate,

Kind regards
