Level II - getting started

I have recently registered as a student to do the level II and III courses.

I will be self studying.  How do I get started?   What's it all about?  Is it a case of at the end of each section there is an assessment?

Good Evening LauraKB

If it was me I would get the FREE trial from Training Link that covers level B1 & B2.

http://www.bookkeepers.org.uk/Study--Qualifications/Current-Syllabuses/Level-II-Syllabus

Then I would buy the Sage 50 beginners course from ebay (you get trained, a certificate and software for 180 days) for B3.

So there you have it Level II on a plate !!!!

Trevor

PS - I would also download the syllabus and read it in detail

and then have a look at

Thank you Trevor Smile   I use Sage in my job in Finance, so do you think I would still need to buy the beginners course you mention?

Hi

Just to confirm there are no written mock papers for the new syllabus. If  you are with a training provider they have some sample questions that they can put together in a form of a mock paper. B1 and B2 have two mock papers available which can be booked via a training provider, or independently online. These are in a very similar format to the live papers and as as canididates are given the same time to complete the mocks as the live papers they are proving to be excellent practice. You also get to see the answers to each question so that you can work out where you went wrong.

Candidates who have taken mock papers have done really well in the live papers. For the live papers you will get basic feedback on the areas that contained errors but you will not be able to see your paper, nor any of the answsers.

With the B3 paper we currently have one mock paper which can be downloaded with full answers and a saecond is almost ready to release.

I hope this answers your query.
