UK and Spain

Hello All

I am 60 years old and after a career in the Civil Service I intend retiring in March 2015.  have just started a Level 1 Manual Bookkeeping course.  I am concerned that when I am fully qualified my lack of practical experience will make it difficult for me if I set up a practice.  Does anybody have any suggestions about how I can gain experience to satisfy clients of my competence and more importantly, provide them with the best quality service?

I also hope to spend 6 months of the year in Spain.  How realistic is it to maintain a practice on a part-time basis and to continue to work abroad via some sort of 'Cloud' bookkeeping system?  Of course, I would do due diligence by visiting potential clients in person.

Thanks.

John
