Is Sage Instant Accounts ok for icb exams?

I've just finished the B1 exam and waiting for the B2 exam to become available to complete the manual level 2 course.

I'm now looking at the computerised bookkeeping exam and before I make the purchase I need to know if the Sage Instant 2014 software package is sufficient for the ICB.

Unfortunately there seems to be little in the way of recommendations and thereare a lot of different Sage packages avaialbe. I can not afford the Sage 50 or the Sage 1 but I can manage to but the Sage Instant at Amazon for £109.00

I think it looksa to have everything I need but a confirmation will make be a little happier to spend the money.

Thanks

Kevin

Hi Kevin

Sage Instant Accounts 2014 is the package supplied by the training supplier I am with, so should be okay for taking your exam.  I believe it can't be used for multiple companies so if you were thinking of setting up as a book keeper and using sage you may want to invest in Sage 50 as would save money in the long run.

Good luck with your B2 exam I'm about to do mine too :)

Regards

Hi Janette

Thanks for the confirmation of Sage Instant - I've just gone ahead a bought it from Amazon.

I managed to get 93% for both B1 and B2 so I'm happy. Hope the computerised section is not too difficult.

I think Sage Instant will be fine for my needs. Once I've got membership and my practice license I'm going to be offering book keeping and fundrasising ervices to community groups and charities. As Sage does not really have the requirements for this market I'm going to be putting together my own spreadsheets so I can integrate grants and gift-aid etc.

Hope you did well in your B1 and B2

Thanks again

Kevin
