Hi,

I am looking to start on the level 4 diploma in financial management, i prefer to self study using the icb texts and personal research.

Does anyone know why there is only module 1 and module 2 text books available in the icb store? Where can i get the module 3 and 4 texts, or do they not exist.

Thanks for any help

Chris

Hey All,

I am with IDEAL Schools studying Level IV Financial Management Module2 at the moment but I see all 4 available to enroll, so it is there if you decide to chose training provider help.

I can only recommend them.

Hi Trevor,

Many thanks for taking a peek around our site but what you've found is the Level IV Cert, which is required for full membership and the price you've quoted is not accurate. The Level IV Diploma in Financial Management has 4 modules and if each are purchased individually the total cost is under £1k, excluding exams. Package discounts are available and are provided upon request.

Have a good day everyone Laughing

Good Morning Brian

Yep I did incorrectly include the level IV Cerificate in Advanced bookkeeping and Accounts. I have looked at the IDEAL website and the ICB current qualification page and have a couple of quick questions :-

1. As you say the Level IV Diploma in Financial Management is made up of four Modules.

Level IV Certificate in Management Accounting

Level IV Certificate in Drafting Financial Statements

Level IV Certificate in Personal Tax

Level IV Certificate in Business Tax

On the IDEAL website I cannot see Level IV Certificate in Business Tax listed ?(original point)

2. If you achieve the Level IV Diploma in Financial Management - What additional licensed chargeable work can you take on ?

Regards

Trevor

Hi Trevor,

I now see where you are coming from  as the Business Tax option is missing from  our Mega Menu, although it's included in our course list within the ICB courses page. Thanks for this, I'll have our IT guys look at this.

In terms of increased responsibilities, the two taxation elements provide greater responsibilities in these areas where you can then complete accounts for Directors signature on Ltd Co's (please correct me if I'm wrong Jacquie). The Management Accounts and Drafting Financial Statements modules will provide a overall better undesrstanding of the accounting function within business and great for CPD.

Kind regards

Thanks for all the replies. I emailed the ICB member services yesterday to ask about the texts, but no reply as yet.

Thanks

Morning all,

I stumbled accross this information page re Level IV and though I'd share. It spells out quite clearly the benefits of the Level IV Diploma qualifications:

Hi Carol,

I called the ICB about this a few days ago.  Looks like it's going to be soon after the new year before they're available again.  Very disappointing as I have four clients that are just waiting for me to get the exams done, and if it's much longer, their year end will pass and they'll have to appoint an accountant.

I was aware the ICB were revising these exams when I began with the DFS module as I spoke to them, but wasn't given any indication that they would take two of modules away before the new ones were ready!!

Thanks Chris

Yes I was a little surprised when I saw they'd disappeared. It's good to know they'll be available soon though, time to get studying again!

I am a holder of the Level 4 financial diploma and could help you finalise the accounts in the interim if you do not wish to refer to an accountant on a

permanent basis

Just wondering...
