Hi

it is usually the same evening I think. I sat my exam on a Saturday and got the actual percentage sometime between 8 and 9pm the same day.

Congratulations on passing.

 Congratulations!

I am going to take BA7 on Saturday.

Could you tell me how in general people make calculations in external centre?

Is there an option to use Excel or other spreadsheets?

Or only papers and calculator?

What equipment they provide us in the centre?

Thanks in advance ))

Following on from Sergey's post, is it just calculator and pen allowed or are there options to us Excel?

Thanks

Hi -  not even a pen! Pearson Vue provide a couple of felt tips and a mini white board set out with squares. Nothing else apart from a calculator - not even a watch or drink and they will check your pockets!

Hint : keep your workings as neat and organised as possible - makes checking so much easier. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. Seems a bit drastic but if that's their rules I suppose I've got to play to them.

 Hi Dean,

I sat my BA7 last week and the only equipment that I was allowed to take in was a calculator. From a personal point, I've always used the calculator on my laptop so for a few days on the run up to my exam, I only used the one that I had purchased just to become familiar with it. The white-board has about 5 doubled sided A4 sized sheets which I found more than enough for my rather large writing but you can put up your hand during the exam and they will bring you some more should you need it.

The exam itself only took me 90 minutes to complete (I was lucky that my I&E balanced first time) so I had time to check over my answers.

Good luck!
