It's goodbye from me...

I'm sure this will come as no surprise to a few, and a great pleasure to many more I guess, but today I've indicated to ICB that I wont be renewing my membership.

It's for many reasons, which I'm not going to go into.  Needless to say I have mixed emotions.  Love me or lothe me, I've been a part of this forum community for many years and made a few good friends through the ICB.

Alas, other things are calling on my time and energy.  My membership doesn't expire until September, but I will miss this forum.

Regards

Kris

Hi Kris,

I have contemplated this myself on a few occasions but have just renewed my membership for another year.

However, I can understand your reasons for doing this.

I wish you well in your future ventures.

Good Luck Kris

It will be good to see - How you resurface and your next exciting venture ! What are you doing for MLR ? Are you joining another Professional body ? Are you just going to register with HMRC as you don't have a professional body ? - Are you setting up a new org to compete full on with the ICB ? I feel it could be exciting times ...............

We shall all watch the space very closely !

Good Luck & the best.

Hi Kris

Best of luck for the future, but its ages till September so hopefully will get a few more posts on here before then. Its sad when the most experienced members leave. you will definately be missed, but Im sure your career will take you far. thanks for all your support on here.

Have fun, enjoy all your new adventures and remember that it was the ICB where it all began. if I can become as good as you in the years to follow, I will be very happy indeed.

Thanks for all your support and very best of luck for the future. I have made some really good friends on here. Anyway Kris it might be goodbye on here, but you can't get rid of me that easily ha ha, (I love my website too much, which you designed for me), best of luck.

Kind regards and very best wishes

Gosh Trevor, I've no plans to take over the world or to compete with ICB on any level.  I'll continue with my bookkeeping and with bkpr.co.uk for the time being.  In terms of MLR supervision, the intention is to still have some cover through another avenue.

Thanks Elaine, and everyone else too.  I'll still be around the profession and my goal has always been to make the profession better.  I know I've not always seen eye to eye with everyone on that front, but I've only ever had whats best for the profession at heart.  I think we all have a responsibility to put something back, and improve things for those who follow us.

As you say Elaine, it's a long time until September and I'll be around until then I hope.

Kris
