That is correct.
Depending on your payroll software - normally if you are entering holiday entitlement and allowing the software to calculate then it usually always rounds up to the nearest 0.5 day. e.g. 11.2 days would become 11.5 days and in the example you gave for 1.5 days working week they would be entitled to 8.5 days per annum.
Sometimes better to caculate in hours per annum.
Also, don't forget that staff who work overtime regularly or get bonuses should get an average of that as holiday pay also. This is generally worked out as an average of the previous 12 weeks work prior to holiday.
