Sage 50 question

I have a new client who wants me to work remotely with Sage 50.  However, he is unable to access his Sage accounts at all (only has his account number, no passwords and SAGE seem unable to help him).  His previous bookkeeper is seriously ill and can't be contacted, however, he was working on Sage remotely from his own laptop.

The client has "thrown the ball in my court" (his words) and said that I should be able to sort it out.  I don't have a multi user Sage package, was hoping to get remote access by the client setting this up from his own "host" computer.  Sage have told me that his version and his current support should do this.

I am being stupid, or is there another option when he has no passwords and says he can't access Sage from his own Desktop ?

Thanks

“If he can still access it on his laptop he should be able to go into the user list and see the log on details and reset the password ”

Thanks Sharon, that really helps, perfect answer !
