Payroll Study Materials

Good evening to you all.

I would like to continue my studies onto payroll but find the cost of the study materials extortionate. I have used a training provider up until now and have gotten no use from them other than the books. The "added value" just wasn't there for me and so becomes just "added expense" instead.

Does anybody have any up to date payroll study materials that they would be willing to sell, or perhaps some guidance of where I can find such a thing that doesn't come with student membership (which I don't need), Sage software (which I try to avoid) and "tutor support" (which I never used).

Feel free to email me: info@smart-bookkeeping.com

Thank you in advance.

Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I hope you dont mind me posting here as well...but i just came on heer to post exactly the same question..more or less!

I have done all my study by myself and was thinking of going with a provider but it seems quite expensive. But there is no self study guide on here like i used for my levels 1 and 2.  Like you, i am not a fan of sage.  I have just downloaded a trial of moneysoft...which has been recommended to me. It looks good and fairly simple ...but i need the knowledge to back it up.

would be really interested to know how you get on and for some replies on here!

I'm in the same boat!  I'm using moneysoft in an employed position but I want to sit my exam.  Having no real payroll training I want to be fully prepared and am therefore looking for some training materials.

All help greatly appreciated!
