Hi
I have just completed my payroll mock exam and I cannot find the "employee details report" that is generated in the mock answers.
I have even googled it and no joy. What I did find on ggole though was quite worrying, people saying the report in question does not exist but you get marked down for not having it!!! Is that true? I am using sage 50 payroll V21.
Hope somone can help cause Im bricking it!

Cheers in advance,
Karen

Hi Karen

Which Employee report is it that you need?

If you click on Reports, then Employee, you will see a whole list of `Employee Details` reports.

Thanks for replying so promptly Steve.

I can find the employee details report but it doesn't have the details the question asks for.

The question asks for details of holiday entitlement and pension details but these all seem to be on separate reports.

I have really looked for the same report used on the mock answers but I cannot find it in sage 50. Other members seem to have come up against the same issue. I have even looked in historical reports but nothing matches the answer.

Hi Karen,

I was a bit baffled by this when I did it as well, and asked the tutor. It is ok to generate separate reports to show all the information they are asking for. I couldn't find the report they supply in the answers anywhere - that's because it's not a generic one. I made an attempt at creating one and got nowhere! So in the end I think I used:

Employee Details  - Personal

Employee Details - Payments

Absence - Employee Holiday info

I hope this helps a bit if you're still stuck,

 Hi Lisa,

Thanks for that that will really help. I was pulling my hair out. I also was not sure if I would be able to get away with that.

while we are on the subject of the mock did you have any problems with Ms liu's sick pay calculation because I cannot make it match the answer. I had my tutor scratching her head too. Then we ran it past 2 accountants on an auto enrolement course and they couldn't make it match either

Thanks again

Hi Karen,

I'm afraid I won't be much help to you with this one...I've dug out my notes and it looks like I resigned myself to the fact I couldn't get my answer to agree to theirs!

The sick pay element was fine - 7 days payable - (£88.45/5)*7 = £123.83

What i couldn't work out for the life of me was the salary she was paid for that month. I think I tried everything I could think of. But from my workings, she had 21 working days in May (Mon-Fri), 10 of which she was sick (3 qualifying, 7 paid). So I couldn't tie in the remaining 11 days that I thought she should have been paid a salary for. I would have done (£4,000/21 days)*11 days = £2,095.24. But maybe I was on the wrong path altogether!

I hope someone can enlighten you, I'd be interested to know how it was done! Although if everyone you've asked couldn't work it out either it might just stay a mystery!

Good luck,

Lisa
