Bike as allowable expense?

Hello,

I have just bought a bike which I plan to use to get around my clients. I have searched HMRC website and can't find any reference to a bike for self-employed people although as an employee you could claim 20p a mile.

Does anyone know if I could claim a part of the cost of the bike as capital allowances or if I could claim a mileage allowance like the simplified rules for cars?
