I would advise you to do a mock first - they are a lot cheaper and it will help you become familiar with the layout and language used. Comprehension is very important because often the correct answer turns on a technical understanding of the phraseology.
Also, unlike the real exam you are given the correct answers afterwards so you can see where you went wrong. If you fail the genuine exam you often don't have a clue where you lost some of the marks.
