I've been asked if I can do an audit for the town May Fair committee. I know the terminology is wrong, but in essence they want someone to look over their books so they can report back to the Town Council and account for their income & expenditure.
The work is fine - I can check the paperwork is in place and authorised as appropriate, but I'm struggling to find the right kind of format for such a report. I know there are ones for small charities which will refer to the relevant charity regulations, but I don't think this is a charity. It's more like a club supported by a public body.
Any ideas/proformas/templates/legislation advice would be helpful...
