I'm in the middle of B3. I'm entering opening balances to various accounts. They seem to also be posting to the suspense account. Is this right? If not what am I doing wrong? I'm using sage 50.
I think this is because you are only doing 1 half of the double entry when doing this so Sage is having to put the other half somewhere. If you carry on and do them all, you should find that the suspense account is now zero
