Formal agreement for working at client's premises

Hi

I started my practice this year and now have a few clients, whose work I do at home.  For these I have a standard engagement letter with T&C's.

However, I am about to start working for a company 2 days a month from their premises on a self employed basis, working directly under their MD. I'm not sure in this case how to formalise things as my engagement documents (that I downloaded from ICB) don't cover this type of work.

Has anyone else been in this position?  Or does anyone have an engagement letter template that would fit?

Hoping you can help,

Laura

Hi Laura

All I have done in the past is add this within the paragraph concerning my fees :

As we have discussed  previously, this engagement is based on working 5-7 hours, one day a week at £x per hour with the possibility of this being reviewed after a period of time.  Any additional hours of work above this level to be discussed and agreed as required.

I don't think it should change terms and conditions if you work from clients offices or from home unless I've missed something!

Hope that helps.

Hi Laura

I always include the location that work is to be normally undertaken either at my own office or on site at the clients address. If this changes down the line you have something to go back to to renegotiate. ( I had a client that moved his office which created additonal travelling for me and therefore this needed to be addressed)

Hi Laura

I state whether the work will be done at my home address or on the clients site but other than that my LoE wouldn't change because I am not working from home.

Regards
