Can someone please help as I get endlessly confused with this and the HMRC guidance seems to have changed and only refers to meals on overnight stays. What can sole traders claim for subsistence? Lunch? coffee? dinner??

 Hi Tina,

Travel and subsistence expenses incurred whilst working away from home/office can be claimed, but they must be wholly and exclusively business related and the travel for work must (obviously) be outside the normal commute.
