I was born and brought up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and left there when I was 18.
I have always worked in an accounts environment - as a records clerk and then cashier for the State Attorney in Rhodesia - as a cashier, auditor and then Head Auditor for a hotel at Heathrow - as a receptionist/cashier for a hotel in Inverness - as an accounts clerk (which involved analysing client's bookkeeping records and producing them into accounts (including tax computations) for review by the accountants/clients) for two accountancy practices in Burnham and Slough.
I have been running my bookkeeping practice since 1992 - over 25 years! I joined The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers as an Associate Member in 1997, became a Member in 2007 when I achieved Level IV Certificate in Advanced Bookkeeping and Accounts. I achieved a diploma in payroll management in 2013 and Level III Diploma in Completion of Self Assessment Tax Returns in 2017. I was awarded Fellowship in 2017.
I am accounts trained originally so I know what is required by accountants when preparing the accounts. Therefore I produce the records to a very high standard which they find more than acceptable! My aim is to produce quality records which should reduce the accountancy fees as much as possible for my clients!
