Started working life in 1989 as an apprentice Accountant preparing accounts from client books and records down in Northumberland. Worked in Accountancy for 13 years reaching Manager level before leaving to bring up my family. Qualified as ACCA in 1998 but out of date now so I decided on the ICB as I wanted to become self employed to work round my family and like the idea of working for myself.
