M-Day and the new membership structure

Hopefully many of you will have noticed this picture which appears when you log in to the website:

Clicking on the picture will give you some information about what you need to do to make sure you tick all the right boxes ready for M-Day on 30th September 2011.

30/09/11 is the day when the new membership structure comes into force and all members are expected to have proven competence in both manual and computerised bookkeeping.

Our M-Day graphic has been on the website for a little over a month now and so far members don't seem to be too fased by the prospect of proving their skills through further examinations.  In fact a worrying amount of calls have been received from members who have misread the information and are scrambling to get examinations booked by the end of this coming September.  For any of you who are similarly concerned, please rest assured that you have until the end of NEXT September to align yourself with the new membership structure.

To make life even easier, the recently released centre-based examinations now mean that the entire suite of ICB examinations is available on-demand.  This means that if you need to take another test, you can do so in your own time and at your convenience.

For more information on the Institute's centre-based examinations please click here.  Meanwhile, if you have any questions regarding the new membership structure and how it afects you, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
