After several month's development time, the long-awaited ICB Practice Directory is now available. The Practice Directory is an online resource for clients and small businesses who are in need of a good bookkeeper, and will allow them to do a postcode search for their nearest ICB Practice within a matter of seconds. The Practice Directory will be hosted directly on the ICB site and all Practice Licence holders are urged to take advantage of this fantastic free service.
Practice Licence holders wanting to promote their business in the Practice Directory must activate their free listing or the practice will not appear in a search for bookkeepers in their area.
The opportunity to use the directory is only available to the Practice Licence holders. Self employed members of the Institute are required to hold the Practice Licence. If you are not a Practice Licence holder, or are a member of IAgSA regulated by the ICB for MLR only, your details cannot appear in the Practice Directory.
Companies wishing to employ a bookkeeper will continue to be put in touch with qualified members via the Post a Vacancy section of the website.
More information about the Practice Directory
If you are a Practice Licence holder, you can activate your free listing right away by logging in to www.bookkeepers.org.uk/MyICB/MyPractice Once inside the MyPractice section you can check that all of your details will appear correctly and choose which parts of your contact details you wish to include in the listing. Perhaps, if you work from home, you may prefer to be contacted by email only.
Show potential new clients what you can do
Because the Practice Directory is integrated with the ICB database, your listing will be populated automatically with details of the services that you have gained an ICB qualification in. Potential new clients will be absolutely sure of how useful you can be to them.
