  • VAT rate change

  • Changes to the VAT treatment of International Services
  • Submission of EC Sales Lists
  • Repayment claims for VAT incurred in EU Countries

You will be aware that there is to be a VAT rate change in January 2010; the rate will changed back to 17.5%.

There are also a number of other significant changes regarding VAT that will affect you all as bookkeepers and will affect your clients, it is important that you understand how to implement these changes.

At a recent member networking event in Oxford hosted by Mike Foster MICB CB Dip, one of the guest speakers was from a firm of accountants called Chapman, Robinson and Moore. www.crmoxford.co.uk

Alan Snowden FCCA CTA FPC of Chapman, Robinson and Moore provided members with a clear and comprehensive guide to the changes and has kindly given the ICB permission to distribute the handouts used in their presentation.

We do suggest that you carefully read through the information they have supplied to familiarise yourself with the actions you need to take. The handouts are available to download as a series pdfs below.

The guides supplied are intended to provide generic information only and does not constitute advice. The guides are the copyright of Chapman, Robinson and Moore Ltd Accountants
