Employment Status and IR35
The East Sussex Branch will be joined by Stuart Morris, ICB Director and chair of the Advisory Council. He will be looking at a subject that has serious tax implications for all self-employed clients and also for bookkeepers themselves. The presentation will look at the rules covering self-employment status and the background to IR35 and the legal background of how HMRC deal with status enquiries. The talk will also cover the new regime that will start in April 2017 and the implications of the recent "Uber" case.
