The ICB East Sussex Branch would like to invite all ICB students and members to the first East Sussex Branch meeting of 2018. We will be kicking things off with our annual election of the Branch Committee. In addition, we are excited to announce that ICB’s very own Kent (Sevenoaks) Branch Chair, Paula Veysey-Smith, will be joining us to give a talk on VAT!
Paula will be discussing all the various UK VAT schemes available to you and your clients, as well as the benefits of opting for an alternative scheme. We will also look at the different VAT rates and completion of VAT returns and will later move on to talk about trading outside of the UK and the implications of VAT reporting. This is a topic which always sparks lively discussion, so come along to make sure that you are as clued-up as you can be!
The Branch meetings are a great way for you to gain information in a fun and informal way. A hot buffet meal will be provided and there will also be a public bar onsite. You are also more than welcome to stay later after the meeting’s conclusion to network with other ICB Bookkeepers and ask Paula any further questions you may have.
Make sure that you book your place early as this is an opportunity not to be missed! We look forward to seeing you all there.
