The ICB Oxfordshire Branch will be focusing on the ‘Evolution of the Practice’ in 2018 and as such, would like to extend an invitation to all ICB students and members to join them for an evening event discussing practice management.
We will be holding a series of sessions to discuss any challenges that local Members in Practice have experienced and learning how they overcame them. Branch meetings are a great way to learn from other ICB Bookkeepers in an informal and relaxed way, so feel free to come along to make sure that you know what to do if something in practice goes awry! This initial meeting will focus on things to consider with regards to using IT within your bookkeeping business.
We will be joined by Simon Brereton from Owltech and Shevvy Smullen from Crisp Webdesign. Simon will be giving us a checklist on things to consider with your computer infrastructure and Shevvy will provided us with a check list of things to consider for your business’s digital presence.
Once you have a mechanism to attract clients, you need to decide how to charge them. We will discuss what issues those of us in practice have found with this topic and discuss ways to help each other overcome any problems.
This is a unique learning experience – who better to help an ICB Bookkeeper just starting out than an ICB Bookkeeper who may have been running their own practice for years! Make sure you book your place soon as this is an opportunity not to be missed.
