The ICB Tyne & Wear Branch would like to invite all students and members to join them for an evening event regarding the opportunities for Export for businesses.
We will be joined by Bob Beresford, who is the International Trade Adviser at the Department for International Trade (DIT). DIT are an international economic department, responsible for promoting British trade and investment across the world, amongst other things.
Bob will be discussing what DIT North East is, the facilities they offer, courses they run and online tools available to find out more. One of these search tools is ‘Exporting is Great’, which enables you to search for specific live business opportunities around the world. Bob will also be discussing local International Trade Advisers, how businesses can grow using digital means, as well as Free Research Facility, a free of charge desk-based research report to support your company when launching new services abroad. It is sure to be a jam-packed, informative event and this is an opportunity not to be missed!
ICB students and members are free to network at their leisure past the close of the meeting and branch meetings are an informal way to meet other ICB Bookkeepers. Make sure to book your place early!
