The first ever Luca Awards ceremony took place on Thursday 26th November with an audience of 200 guests and HRH Prince Michael of Kent  at The Dorchester Hotel Ballroom, London.

Guests enjoyed a champagne reception and a delicious four-course meal as excitement built in the room and amongst the nominees.

After dinner, chief executive Garry Carter, took to the stage to deliver a moving speech about the history of the Institute and its future as a global organisation.

Mr Carter then announced the Luca Award winners in each of the five categories. 

The winners mounted the stage to shake hands with the Prince and be presented with their own bronze statuette of Luca Pacioli, the fifteenth century Cistercian monk to whom the establishment of double-entry bookkeeping is attributed.
