Hi Stuart

It's really good of you to give us all the news first, shame I'm so far away.

Stuart, pity you are only looking for someone on employed status (from my point of view) although of course there are probably a few fellow members who will welcome the opportunity of full time employment.

Hi Andrea / Geoff

Thanks for the replies.

Geoff there may be an opportunity down the road to look at outsourcing.

If you are able to get along to the London event that will be run for the end of Feb you will have the opportunity to meet some of the partners from the practice as they are keen to develop links with self employed bookkeepers from the ICB.

Cheers

Thanks Stuart. As long as it is not a Wednesday I should be able to make it - at present.

Hi Stewart

I am also very interested in the London event, as living in Cambridgeshire, all the other events seem no where near me, and London is quite easy to get to from St Ives.
Having worked in the City as an Assistant Accountant for a City money dealers, then Assistant Financial Controller for a firm of guilt dealers, before I had our girls (in the 1980's!), I am more than comfortable getting around there.

I moved from Cheshire to London in 1980, after University , and began studying as a student Chartered Accountant (I didn't qualify unfortunatley - auditing definately wasn't for me). My firm, Hill Vellacott, as they were called then (Now Chantry Vellacott DFK) had offices in Whitefriars, although I mainly worked out of their Croydon branch.

I am also very interested in outsourcing, and indeed have a meeting on Wednesday regarding a possible outsourcing opportunity with a firm "down south". I'll let the forum know if I am successful and if any other opportunities exist.

So if you could let me know as well the date and times Stuart please, I would be very grateful.

Many thanks

Kate
