Hi there

I dont know if any particular software is better than any other but I used Sage Instant Accounts when I took both my level 2 and level 3 computerised bookkeeping exams and found that it met the requirements perfectly.

I hope this helps.

Best to use a package that you have trained on and are familiar with as most are likely to meet requirements.

I used Sage Instant Accounts for Level II and Solar Accounts for Level III

I agree, I used Sage 50 Accounts for the Level II exam - I passed no problems but I am more familiar with QuickBooks and would have found it easier with that.

I used Sage because I am taking my courses through Training-Link and was worried that QuickBooks wouldn't provide reports in the right format. I will be taking the Level III exam with QuickBooks.

Hi,

It has been commented on other wall posts that it is possible to use Fusion Accounts, this is free for a trial period so you can take the exam.  I have tried this out but cannot see anyway of uploading the Data on the CD provided by ICB.  DOes anyone know if it is possible to do this?

Thanks

As far as the exam itself I understand that we are sent (in the post) a set of data which we must use to produce reports as per specified questions and which we then send to the ICB for marking.  The package is unimportant save that it does everything the exam needs.

Sage instants or quick books or something similar should be sufficient - though I understand excel will not do.
