Level III Computerised Exam

Hello everyone, I took the computerised level III exam at the beginning of December. Due to really bad snow here I was unable to post the exam back therefore I scanned and emailed it to the ICB. The attachments were labelled 1 of 14 pages, 2 of 14 pages and so on. I got confirmation that the email and attachments had been received and were to be marked.

In January my result came back as a fail with 72%. I was most upset as for the two previous exams I had received 100% and 95% and as I am studying alone could not understand where I had gone wrong. It realy shook my confidence.  I paid the £25.00 feedback fee and received it yesterday. It stated that one of the essay questions was not marked at all as I had not completed it losing 15 marks! The essay in question was on pages 11 & 12 of the attachments. Therefore I can only surmise they did not download all of the attachments even though they were clearly labelled. I really hope that tomorrow when I phone the ICB they will still have my original email and clearly see that the essay question was answered and it can be marked and then hopefull I will pass.

Hi Bluebell

I can only imagine how disapointed you must have been to receive such a result but good on you for chasing this one up with ICB.  Hopefully it all works out for you.  I would imagine before you call ICB you will double check the sent e-mail to ensure it actually does include the question and it has been answered - this will just prevent any misunderstanding.

Hello Sean, thank you for posting. I have triple checked the original email and definitely 14 pages were attached with the missing essay being pages 11 & 12. I have spoken to the ICB and the lady was very nice but had to investigate the matter so I am waiting for her call on tenterhooks.

Good news, there was a mistake and the essay wasn't downloaded but it has been now and the paper is being marked again. Thank you James for phoning personally and sorting it out. I look forward to receiving my revised result.

Hi BlueBell

Did you get your results for Level III at the end and how did it go?  Good News  I presume.
I am looking forward to do Level III very soon but is having so much diffficulties in the Software stuff - not been able to get Fusion yet.

May I ask, did you use a different software than Sage.  Is the exam very difficult and do you think if I practice test papers I would be able to write this exam Level III bearing in mind that I have quite a few years of experience in Sage Accounts.

Your advice would be most appreciated.
