Hi

I am in newcastle testing the new version of Sage 2012 on Friday.   Our there any things bookkeepers  would like me to test out to see if they are improved so I can give them feedback.

Once the new version is released.   I look forward to covering the changes.

I am just wanting to cover actual things.   I am aware there are members that do not like sage but we can have that as another discussion, and hopefully I could answer some questions or help if I can.

Hi Sarah

I have sage 50 2011 (client manager) - to be honest I'm pretty happy with it.  I can't imagine you want a wish list here but my only complaint so far is that when running trial balances/balance sheet reports etc from financials the criteria window often appears behind the actual programme window.  I can get around this by using task manager but wondered if this was a known issue.  I'm running 2011 on windows 7 (64bit).  I haven't really come accross any other issues yet.  Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

I would love to be able to develop a proper report which shows unpaid sales (or purchase inovices) like a daybook report with the vat (vat does not show in invoices due report) one just like the paid invoices report would be great.  I would use it to reconcile the vat for cash accounting customers.  I can work around it but my report designer skills are not that great.  (or have I missed a report somewhere) ?

Would also like to be able to post part payments against sub-contractor suppliers in the CIS module but again thats not a big issue.

OOps I did say this shouldn't be a wish list

I look forward to hearing about 2012 version

All the best

Hi Anne

No that is want I want as I would like to check if some if these things have changed.   This is a really productive meeting where you actually get to speak to the programmers and I really enjoy it.   I also go the user group in newcastle so I can also raise points that may not get covered in this session.

I was just wanting to keep the debate about liking Sage or not for another debate.
