We had to change the meeting to Tuesday 1st November at 7.30 from the Saturday to suit, the venue remains the same, hopefully that will suit more people.

This is great I'm really looking forward to it. But I'm just wondering how the other ICB bookkeepers based in Northern Ireland are notified about this because unless you look on the forum or on the facebook page how are they to know this is taking place. Does the ICB email or sent letter to people over here telling them about meetings? I would like to see more than 4 people turn up this time.

P.S Thanks Victor for arranging this You really are one of a kind xx

I too am looking forward to this meeting and hope that more than 4 turn up! But i am also a bit envious that there is a massive summit going on this month in London and there is nothing set up for us lost ICB members who really dont get alot of support over here!  I am a working mother and really can't find the time to hop on a plane and attend a summit but if more marketing was done over here i.e telling businesses about professional qualified bookkeepers then maybe there would be an avenue for such meetings here.  Businesses over here i would say know very little about the ICB and for this reason we are disadvantaged!  We have to pay the same fees as ones in England but we have no opportunities!

I also would like to thank Victor for all his hard work and effort x  I really would like to see things change for the better over here in Northern Ireland :-)

Hi,

I am a new student member in Northern Ireland hoping to
be an Associate in early 2012.

I would really appreciate any advice and/or support from
Northern Ireland members with a view to starting up on my
own, marketing etc.

You are all right - there doesn't seem to be a great amount of
awareness in Northern Ireland for ICB qualified book-keepers
and it is in all our interests to promote ICB as a professional
solution to SME's record keeping dilemma's!

Looking forward to hearing from you
