To update anyone in the Buckinghamshire area, Our first meeting will be held on 15th April at Buckingham University and I am delighted to confirm that our first guest speaker will be Duncan Smith from iCompli Ltd. Duncan has been a client of mine for several years and is a wealth of information on compliance and data protection etc. Any one is welcome and we look forward to meeting fellow members from the area and establishing a new networking group that will be of benefit to us all. I have personally been going the the Oxfordshire branch meetings run by Mike Foster for some time and after each meeting I leave feeling that I have learnt something new! And the bonus is you get to meet lovely new people. I look forward to meeting anyone interested on 15th.

Our first meeting was a great evening and Duncan Smith proved to be an informative and interesting speaker. Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday 20th May and Mike Foster will be our speaker. I hope to see you all again on that date plus any new members in the area. As soon as Duncan Smith from iCompli gives me the info on the presentation he gave I will post a link.

Tonight at 6.30 we will be holding our 3rd Buckinghamshire meeting. Although we are 'sold out' I would like to extend a warm welcome to all those who are to attend. Just a footnote: Refreshments will also be provided as I know it is a late finish and many of you come straight from work.

Thank you, Julie, for a fantastic day at the Buckinghamshire Branch Meeting yesterday.  It was very inspiring, you brought in great speakers, it was a positive environment, and well worth the price.  I found the Office Organisation, and The Opportunity Radar presentations particularly useful, as well as the Interactive Workshop on business planning.

The whole-day format worked well for me and I prefer it to more frequent, evening meetings.  It means I spend less time and money travelling, and I'm alert and eager to listen and contribute.

I very much appreciate the time and effort spent to put it all together and I'm looking forward to the next one Cool

Thank you Christina, for such fabulous feed back, that makes it all worthwhile. And... you proved a point, that other members can get into our section on the forum, just nobody had ever felt the need before. So come on members, let us all start communicating here, and lets build a great Buckinghamshire Branch. I had been so despondent with recent numbers but Friday proved that we do have a requirement in our area, and there are people out there who do want to come. It was really satisfying so see that our gamble payed off and that our day events have a great future!!

Thank you to everyone who helped.

Hi Julie,

I absolutely second what Christina has says here. It was incredibly daunting for me to come out to my first ever meeting. I needn't of worried, everyone was so welcoming and the vibe was all very positive. It was great to see so many of us at different stages of our journey in the world of bookkeeping but reassuring to see how supportive and empowering we all were to one another.

I myself look forward to coming along and getting involved in future meetings.

Well done for putting on a well organised and very informative meeting.

See you and everyone else at the next one!!!

Hi Julie,

Just to say I really enjoyed meeting everybody on Friday, I didn't really know what to expect but I am really pleased I came. I look forward to coming to your meetings in future and finding out more about all these different topics as they will help me to build my knowledge further.

See you soon

Emily
