Branch Meeting - Tuesday 11th June 2013 - Practice Software Review.
Hi All,
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the sun at last.
The next branch event is listed on the ICB events page and I have included the link below, if anyone does have any problems booking their place - as always please do turn up on the day, and we can sort out the bookings later.
As discussed at the last meeting we decided as a branch to look at 'Practice Software' and review the different software that we all use for our day to day businesses. I can show Sage Accounts, Moneysoft Payroll, QuickBooks, VT+ etc. although would welcome other contributions.
I will have my laptop with me and if people would like to show any online software to the branch then please bring along your login details, or please bring along your laptops. All contributions are welcome, it can be as long or as short as you wish.
Next month for the July meeting we will be doing a 'Back to 'Practice' Basics' theme where we can discuss the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounts from T-Accounts to Trial Balance to an Extended Trial Balance with adjustments for provisions, accruals and prepayments to a full set of Accounts - Phew that will keep us busy! Anything goes so any questions or topics such as pricing, letters of engagement, please do suggest your ideas at the June meeting.
I appreciate the support the branch is giving and would really encourage everyone to come along and join in the branch meetings. The calendar is set for the year and these dates will not change, so please do try and come along as much as you can.
Also as discussed at the last meeting, the café from upstairs will make a tea and coffee round at 11:00 and will come along and serve us in our room.
I will be there at 9:00 in the main room and you are free to join me early or if you wish you can meet in the cafe'.
