I'm so excited to be able to announce that the Birmingham Branch has managed to arrange a visiting speaker direct from HMRC.
For those of you who attended the conference this year and last you'll recall the fabulous, interesting and humerous presentation by Barbara Wilson from HMRC, I'm delighted that she has agreed to come and join us at our meeting on January 20th. It promises to be an insightful meeting and Im sure we'll learn plenty from her. (She asked me if any members had any questions or specific queries to let me know and I'll pass them over to her in advance so she can bring relevant links and information so how's the time to get those thinking caps on :-) ) She truly is a great speaker and Im so pleased she has agreed to come up to talk to us so I can confidently say it really will be one of the best meetings we've ever held
It doesn't end there, we've hired a bigger room and want to invite all and any members, students and colleagues to come along and bring a friend. The friend doesn't have to be an ICB member (although an interest in accounts and bookkeeping might be an advantage! lol) and to make it even better we thought as it's the New Year and our first meeting of 2014 with lots to look forward to then let's celebrate that with some nibbles and a glass of something too so come on down to Birmingham on the 20th Jan! It'll be on the website soon so you can book on as usual.
