Hi all

Apologies for the belated posting, again.... next meeting of the West Yorkshire branch (all welcome) will be on Thursday 5th June at the usual place in the Round Foundry in Leeds, 3pm - 5.30pm. No speaker again this time - mainle becasue I've run out of ideas :-/ We will run it clinic style like last time, probably, so bring a topic or  a burning question....

You should be mailed an invite in the next few days but if not, or you can't see it in the events shop page by this time next week, please do hassle ICB.

Hope to see you there

Alex

Hi Alex,

I was just wondering whether Garry Carter has re-scheduled to attend one of our meetings shortly?

Kind regards,

Sorry I won't be able to make it again...normal service will resume shortly I hope.  June is a mad month for me this year and I literally don't have a moment to spare.

Have a good meeting and hope to see you all again soon.

Kind regards

Debbie

Hi Suzanne – I don’t know I’m afraid – I think we missed the boat last time due to a catalogue of disastrous communications…. Not soon at any rate.

Not very helpful, apologies.

That's great news Alex, I had been debating travelling to Ripon for the North Yorkshire meeting!

See you on 5th.

Just a quick question to everyone following on from this meeting.... At one point it was mentioned that anyone can call themselves a bookkeeper or an accountant... This has been weighing heavily on my mind recently as I know someone locally who is doing just that, isn't supervised for MLR and isn't registered for data protection, yet is still taking on clients and proudly states that they don't need to be regulated or have any qualifications. I don't know about anyone else but this really bugs me after all the effort we have put in getting qualified and ensuring we meet all our legal requirements. I guess my question is, what happens to all these people like the one I have mentioned above? Anyone have any idea?
