Cloud based Software

Hi All

I am getting really confused and wondered if you could help.

I have been looking at cloud based software and cannot decide which to go with.

I have loads of sage line 50 experience but am also using Kashflow for a client which has pros and cons. I have looked at Xero but it seems very americanised and I have no experience of quickbooks, but it seems quite popular and sage one does seem to have limited reporting issues.

I have a new client who wants cloud based software and is asking me which one to get and I would like to go with just one that I can then use for other clients and also use their practice software.

I just do not know which way to go and some of the companies do not show a complete demo as they want you to take the 30 day free trial.

Any help and advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Gail

Xero Xero Xero

Its actually started life in New Zealand - so not American. Just for the bank feeds its a complete win.

Once you get used to working with Xero, you will never look back and you may actually convert your other clients to Xero.

Hi

I think you need to try them all out.    Their will be plenty of members who say xero but I don,t think you should close your mind you can be a partner to them all.

I am a partner to them all,  not all clients like the same software .

Not sure how long you looked at sage one but sage one accounting has made huge improvements in the last 2 months and reporting in now pretty good for the cloud.  Sage One accounting has good bankfeeds and is easy to use

I like Exact Starter for clients with the APP and the digial box for me and my clients to scan or photograph receipts .  There is a learning curve however the functionality is great and is suitable for the bigger clients.  This does Bankfeeds and shows your receipts beside each transaction  with out having to pay for a add on.   It is part of the software.

I have a few clients who like Kashflow and Quickbooks and prefer their screens

In recent times I have shown new clients all softwares .   1 chose Kasflow   3 chose Sage One Accounting  1 xero   and 2 Exact.   It just seem to be want was easier for them.    For the record I am really against selling your sole to one provider.  It really does close your mind to other good products coming from behind.

For me I prefer the cloud softwares that show Debits and Credits in their activity screens and not plus and minus it makes it extremely difficult to complete creditors recs for companies that have a lot of invoices.  That is okay for a software if you don,t have many invoices.

Pretty much most of the cloud softwares have bankfeeds.

For payroll cloud I have become a Partner of MY PAYE Ltd  and I think it is a great piece of software and the support is excellent as well.
